An Engineer's Guide to Cat Yodeling (The boys are back!)

Engineers Paul and T.J. are back and in fine form with their latest video, "An Engineer's Guide to Cat Yodeling (with Cat Polka)."

Even if you don't particularly like cats, the video is pretty funny.

H/T to Cute Overload.

I love cats. But I don't have 6 minutes and 31 seconds for them.....

Sorry J -- only you entertain me. :)

OMG - this is the funniest thing I have seen in a while! Thanks for the giggle and the yodel! TommyMac71, I'd make those 6 minutes and 31 seconds if I was you!

J,

I'm sorry but I couldn't get through this one.

Sorry.

The Stupid-Funny Nature of this video is kinda dumb.

This video below is much more funny and far more entertaining...

...and it makes a point at the same time!

Would love your thoughts!

No need to apologize, Scott you YouTube whore. ; ) Guess you have to be a cat lover and/or an engineer. Btw, funny video. Thanks for sharing. But where are the cats?! ; )

These guys have way too much time on their hands!

I agree that parts of it were stupid, but in a sustained-stupid way that makes it funny.

The fact that none of the cats have fled the house* has led me to question my previous high opinion of feline intelligence.

*OK, they're engineers but they have to leave the house sometime or at least open the door a crack to receive fresh shipments of duct tape.

For those of you who wonder how on Earth or why Paul Klusman makes these silly videos, he's an engineer in Wichita, Kansas. 'Nuff said. (But do click on the link.)

As to cats, we have found, at least with all the cats we have domiciled, is that if you just feed them once in a while, keep their litter boxes relatively clean, give them fresh water and a little loving, they are happy to stay put (unless you have one of the MUST GO OUTDOORS cats, in which case nothing you will do, other than locking them in a cage, will stop them from getting out).

I need an extra Allegra after all these kitty posts!

The boys need new furniture. Hideous stuff! The Heidi Hair and Balloon Boobs made me laugh out loud. The can-can finale? Magnifique!

My mother is from Wichita. 'Nuff said.

J, would your cats stay put if you subjected them to all of that advanced engineering?

Her name wouldn't happen to be Dorothy would it, Dave?

As to your question, just last night J-THREE-O and the spouse asked if I had tried any of the cat yodeling techniques on the cats -- to which I replied "not yet, but I will." Stay tuned...

Okay, I'm shamed to admit that I have tried many of them, and can attest that they work. As the engineers state, their effectiveness varies depending on feline temperament. I haven't added the tonal shaking, but now that I've seen it done without harm to the cat--well, let's just say the lab is open for business.

We thought about attempting cat yodeling over the weekend, but as neither Felix nor Flora meow very much, and we couldn't find duct tape for the socks, we decided it would be wasted (and possibly injurious) effort. But I am THRILLED to hear from someone who has actually tried the engineers' cat yodeling techniques -- and achieved success. Thanks JWT! Really appreciate the comment! : )
